Deepening understanding of international student acceptance and the learning environment, and exchanging views toward future collaboration
On July 27, 2026, ISI Japanese Language School, operated by WEWORLD Inc. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Masaaki Ogino), welcomed the Ambassador and other officials from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Japan to its ISI Language School, Shinjuku Campus.
During the visit, the delegation received an overview of the school, exchanged views, observed classes, and interacted with students, deepening their understanding of the learning environment and initiatives in place for Bangladeshi students at the school.
Report on the Acceptance of Bangladeshi Students
ISI Japanese Language School operates 9 campuses across 4 cities in Japan, with more than 10,000 students enrolled, representing over 100 countries and regions at any given time.
In recent years, the number of students from Bangladesh has steadily increased, with 391 currently enrolled across the group and 210 at the Shinjuku Campus.
The visit also included an introduction to the school’s educational approach geared toward further study and employment, as well as its Japanese language education support for learners from non-kanji-using backgrounds.
Introduction to the School by the CEO and Principal
During the discussion, CEO Ogino delivered a welcome address, outlining ISI Japanese Language School’s commitment to enhancing learning opportunities in both quality and quantity. Principal Abo of the Shinjuku Campus then introduced the characteristics and career paths of the school’s learners, along with its ICT-based educational support — including a smartphone-based self-study environment and proprietary teaching materials and learning apps designed to support kanji study — describing the systems in place to sustain continued learning.
Class Observation and Student Interaction
During the class observation, the delegation visited a Japanese language class attended by Bangladeshi students and observed a student presentation. In the subsequent interaction with students, participants exchanged views on their motivation for learning and their future goals, in a warm and friendly atmosphere throughout. Embassy officials praised the students’ serious attitude toward learning and their proactive engagement.

This visit provided a valuable opportunity to directly observe ISI Japanese Language School’s educational practices and its support for international students. Going forward, the school will continue working to build an educational environment in which students from a wide range of countries and regions can study with peace of mind and grow toward realizing their career goals, while continuing to promote international exchange and mutual understanding.
